Unlike a traditional chiropractor, Dr. Jenna’s approach isn’t going to mask your symptoms. Instead, her detailed, scientific and proven analysis is focused on identifying core problems in your spine and nervous system, and gently correcting them so that you can enjoy lasting benefits and long term change in your health.

  Can We Help?

Dr. Jenna hopes to provide a fresh outlook to your unique health challenges and goals and aims to design an approach that will help get your health back on track.

Once Dr. Jenna completes a comprehensive Consultation and Neuro-structural Examination she’ll have the information needed to determine if she can help you. From there, she will walk you through your customized correction process.

FAQs
  • What can I expect at my first appointment?
The goal of your first appointment is to gather as much data as possible about your past and current health status as well as your health goals for the future. This appointment can take upwards of one hour. Dr. Jenna starts with a comprehensive consultation which aims to identify the impact physical, chemical and emotional stressors have made on your health. And although our Neurostructural Examinations are individualized to your specific problem, there are some basic tests that give her a high level overview of your health status. These may include: Digital postural analysis Surface electromyography Thermography Advanced muscle palpation Segmental spinal movement and functional range of motion Digital x-rays (if indicated)
  • How many appointments do I need to make before seeing results?
The short answer is, we don’t know. The frequency and number of visits initially recommended can vary greatly. Factors that will impact your initial recommendations and healing timeline include: Your specific health problem How long the damage has been there The extent of the damage Your personal goals Dr. Jenna will be more equipped to answer this question after a Consultation and Neurostructural Examination.
  • How much will my care cost?
Your Consultation, Neurostructural Examination and Review of Results is $160. Subsequent checkup and adjustments are $50 for both adults and children. However, until your Neurostructural Examination has been completed we aren’t able to estimate what your total investment will be since frequency and schedule recommendations will vary.
  • What types of problems can a chiropractor help me with?
These are just some of the chronic health issues that we’ve seen improve after restoring structural function to the spine: Tension headaches and migraines Neck pain Back pain Sciatica Degenerative disc disease Postural distortions Pins and needles Chronic muscle tension Immobility Arthritis Hip and leg pain Shoulder and arm pain Dizziness and balance problems Chronic fatigue and low energy Torticollis Pregnancy related problems and pain Chiropractic is not a cure, treatment or quick fix for any symptom or condition, and patients often report other improvements in their health after being under chiropractic care. Although the goal of chiropractic isn’t to treat these conditions, and the results may be due to other factors, this has been the anecdotal evidence from some patients. To see if Dr. Jenna can help with your specific health problem, schedule a Complimentary Consultation with her.
  • How do I know if I need a chiropractor instead of a physiotherapist or massage therapist?
The short answer is, you don’t. Pain and symptoms are certainly a signal that your body needs help, but they don’t tell the entire story. This is exactly why we use advanced technology and a comprehensive Consultation and Neurostructural Examination to determine whether your problem is originating from an isolated soft tissue problem or dysfunction in your neuromusculoskeletal system. From here, Dr. Jenna can determine if she’s the most suitable solution or whether you require a referral to another health practitioner that will be more equipped to help with a problem outside her scope.
  • Once I start seeing a chiropractor do I need to go forever?
Not at all! We do not lock you into a contract which means that you decide when your care begins and ends. Once you complete your comprehensive Consultation and Neurostructural Examination Dr. Jenna will explain your test results and review your detailed and individualized plan to start the correction process. As you progress through your care schedule Dr. Jenna monitors your progress at regular intervals, allowing you to make choices about your care going forward which are based on your health goals and expectations at that time. Most patients choose to protect the investment they’ve made in their health and do continue with ongoing chiropractic care, but ultimately that choice is always yours.
  • Does a correction hurt?
Your comfort is a vital part of the healing process. Dr. Jenna’s approach leverages gentle corrections, drop piece tables and hand held adjusting tools. Many patients report immediate relief after a correction, especially if there has been long-standing restrictions in your spine and an accumulation of stress.
  • Is it safe for my kids to see a chiropractor?
Yes. In fact, many neuromusculoskeletal problems begin in the early stages of life as children are rapidly developing their neurological and motor programming. Dr. Jenna is trained to perform a comprehensive Consultation and Neurostructural Examination at any age, which obviously includes tests, techniques and approaches specific and age-appropriate to your child.
  • Is it safe for me to see a chiropractor during pregnancy?
Yes. Dr. Jenna is trained to assess pregnancy related problems and utilize prenatal specific techniques to ensure her approach is comfortable, safe and effective. She utilizes an adjustable table and pregnancy pillows that allow you to lay on your growing belly comfortably through all stages of pregnancy. The most common feedback we hear from pregnant mothers is that chiropractic care minimizes discomfort, improves their mobility and optimizes their body for the birthing process and postpartum recovery.

Hi, I’m Dr. Jenna, and I love helping people become healthier versions of themselves.

My Kinesiology Degree from Western University and my Doctorate in Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College were just the beginning of learning about health for me. I’ve also completed additional training and certifications to expand my knowledge in nutrition, pregnancy, neurology, primitive reflex integration, childhood development and intraoral assessment/oral tie concerns. My unique perspective on health applied to these areas helps me provide an individualized and alternative solution to each of my patients' health goals and challenges.

I have been in private practice since 2013, taking over as sole-owner of Lifeworks Studio in 2017 which has had roots in the Guelph community since 1991 (that's since I was in kindergarten!)

We welcome all ages at Lifeworks Studio. My patients range from days old to well into their 90's, and my hope is that I can provide a fresh outlook to your unique health challenge and goals.

The techniques I utilize are gentle yet specific and corrective, and safe for all ages and stages of life. I offer manual approaches and also instrument assisted adjusting.

When I'm not in the office you can find me with my family, strength training, knitting, cooking, drinking coffee, feeding a baby or learning to play the ukulele. I have 3 young children (all 6 and under) who keep me moving and add so much joy to my life.
